以光子为信息的载体,获得更高速、更大容量和更高集成度信息的产生、传播、处理与显示。主要研究方向包括(1)面向大规模集成的光子芯片原理与技术,如高品质微腔光学及其应用(2)现代光谱分析技术及器件,如高速高分辨二维折叠光谱成像仪、并行模式的快速椭圆偏振态检测;(3)液晶原理与应用;(4)非线性光学技术研究新型信息存储、运算等功能材料的动力学过程。这些领域的研究成果在Physical Review Letters, Journal of American Chemical Society, Optical Letters, Optical Express 上发表了数十篇论文。一些工作受到国际同行的高度关注,如国际“激光聚焦世界”和“光谱”期刊刊发全文专题介绍并给予了积极评价。

Optical Information Science and Technology: The research focus on using photon as information carrier to develop high-speed, large-capacity, and highly integrated photonic devices for information generation, propagation, processing and display. The main research directions include: (1) Principle and technology of highly integrated photonic chips, such as high Q micro-cavity photonic devices and its application; (2) Modern optical spectroscopy technology and devices, such as two-dimension folded imaging spectrometer, and high-speed parallel-operated ellipsometer; (3) Principle of liquid crystal and its application; (4) Dynamics of novel materials for information storage and processing by nonlinear optical techniques. The research team in this direction has published tens of journal articles in Physical Review Letters, Journal of American Chemical Society, Optical Letters, and Optical Express. Some results have received great attention in the world, and special reports introducing the research are published in “laser focus world” and “Photonics Spectra”.
